Growing up in Georgia, Florida always had the prettiest beaches. Many of my favorite memories as a kid were going to the beaches of the Florida panhandle, especially Panama City. Eventually we drifted to other areas such Destin, Pensacola and 30A. Regardless of the specific beach, the Gulf of Mexico has the prettiest beaches in the country.

I wanted my kids to have the same memories, so we load up the car for a week in our favorite spot on 30A every September. If I’m lucky, I can talk my husband into trips in the winter or summer as there’s nothing better than those turquoise blue waters and white sandy beaches.
